The legendary film maker, Mani Ratnam is planning to release both parts of his Magnum Opus and Ponniyin selvan. In a short span of time, this well known south Indian director is coming up with the blockbuster hit as his new venture. As per the source, the director is keeping an eye in a span of couple of months to release this new venture. This new project includes a stellar pan-Indian cast which includes Chiyaan Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Trisha Krishnan, Sarathkumar, Prakash Raj, Nizhalgal Ravi, Aishwarya Lekshmi and Mohan Raman.
A source close to this project reveals that Mani Ratnam targets to complete the production part within August or September, making it his dead line. After the production, he will start focusing on the post production right after the shooting without wasting any time. Another reason he cant keep the male cast tied up as they can not work in other projects with the thick facial hair which was necessary in the roles for Ponniyin Selvan.
A close source mention that the target for this movie was exactly of 140 days. The first 30 days was shot in Krabi and Puducherry, and another set of shoot for next 40 days is also completed. Now the team is heading Jaipur and Jaisalmer for their next set of shoot.
